- Does the POS handle USD and KHR on the same sale?
- Yes. Prices are in dollars, and a customer can pay in dollars, riel, or both on one ticket. US coins do not circulate, so change under a dollar is given in riel, rounded to the nearest 100៛ note. The tendered amounts and the rate used are stored on the sale for reconciliation.
- Can customers pay by KHQR?
- Yes. The till can show a dynamic KHQR built from your Bakong merchant account, with the amount and receipt number already filled in, or use the QR poster on your counter. The sale waits as pending until payment is confirmed, and stock is deducted only once it is, so a customer who walks away does not reduce your stock.
- Will the POS still work if the internet goes down in my shop?
- Yes. The till keeps ringing up sales offline and queues them. Each sale keeps the time it was rung up and is priced as of then, carries a client ID so it cannot post twice, and still lands on the right cashier shift even if that shift has since closed. A queued sale the server cannot accept goes to a review list rather than disappearing.
- How does POS differ from the Sales module?
- POS is the counter till: scan, take payment, print, and close the shift. Sales covers document-driven selling: quotation, sale order, delivery note, and invoice on credit terms. Shops that do both run them against the same items and customers.
- Do I need separate software for my shop counter and my accounting?
- No. A POS sale deducts stock and posts its accounting entry in the same system. Cashier shifts reconcile the drawer in USD and KHR separately, and the sale reaches the general ledger without re-entry, so the counter, the stock, and the books never drift apart.
